Over 2.5 billion trees have been planted in China since the project began, a feature that drags loads of Chinese visa applicants to attest of such fresh and calm ambience. China visa holders will also learn that up to 20% of China is covered by pure forest.
During the Summit Satinder said, "We must all commit ourselves and accept eagerly all steps set forth towards climate change, a drawback to economic development." "The number of Visa to china holders will also increase drastically," he added.
The tree planting campaign hit a 4 billion ranking in May, 2009 over the set 7 billion goal, an estimation of a single tree per person as per global statistics. The total ranking is expected to be met by December this year, when UN will be holding its annual Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Visa to China department is determined to make a fortune yield thereafter. "We are sure that the campaign will accomplish its intended objectives," says Satinder.
The present statistical records detail that forest coverage in the whole world is only 30% which is an estimated 10% decrease. "It is time we need to take concise steps," said Achim Steiner, a senior officer of UNEP.
