For how many months is a China visa valid?
Generally China visas are valid for 3 months from the date of issue of the visa. However a double entry visa to China gives you the freedom to enter the country twice in a span of six months. You are allowed to stay a maximum of 60 days whenever you come to China with a double entry visa. Multiple entry visas have a validity of 12 to 24 months from the date of issue of the visa.
What is the duration of possible stay after entering in China?
The maximum number of days that you can stay in China on one visit is 30 days from the date you land in the country.
What do I need to send you for the application?
First up you would need to send you original valid visa. Your passport is required for the application as the visa for China is directly stuck and pasted into the passport. Along with this you also need to provide a single passport photograph and the application form. A letter from your employers clarifying the reason will be required for your stay in China (in case of a business visa). Make sure that you send your China visa using a good courier service like the Royal Mail.
How and when will I get my passport returned?
You can collect your passport on your own if you have the resources however you can also have it sent by Special Next Day Delivery. The passport would reach you before 1 pm the very next day. If you include the processing time and the delivery time, it would take around a week for your passport and China visa to reach you. However if you want to leave for China on an urgent basis, you can use Express service and have it motor biked to you.
What visa do I need for a business visit or trip to China?
There are countries where you can do business on a tourist visa as well but the Chinese have strict security norms and you are not allowed to do business on a tourist visa. If you are caught, you might be penalized and deported. You need a China business visa for a business visit to China. If you are a journalist, you would need a journalist visa to China.
