For Non British Passport holders, proof of UK residence is   required by providing the following two documents:

  1. A utility bill or council tax bill that is between 1-3 months old
  2. A utility bill or council tax bill that is between 18-24 months old

Unfortunately due to Indian Embassy Policy, we cannot process
the following cases:

- Persons with Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi origin – even if holding a UK Passport

- Persons holding a Chinese or Nigerian passport

  If your Occupation is one of the listed below:

  Charity worker, Police officer, Minister of any religion, Media   worker, Cabin crew, Pilot, Writer, Musician, Photographer,   Editor, Publisher, Researcher, Armed Forces, Prison Officer,   Artist, Scientist, Actor, Actress, Civil Servant, Solicitor, Lawyer,   University Lecturer

  Then a support letter from your employer will be required stating   that you are visiting India for a holiday only and will not be   undertaking any work will be required. It must be on letter headed   paper.

Prices shown are subject to VAT @ 20%. VAT is not applicable on Embassy Fees.

  Instructions for completing the form:

  - Complete the form accurately without leaving any part incomplete
  - Select London as your Indian mission
  - Please read our Extra Information section above before selecting your occupation
  - When you have completed the form - select “Print form” which will generate a PDF form. You must     sign - both pages, which are to be sent to us.

Complete both forms along with the requirements as above and send to:

For the UK referees section on the India visa form, you can put two contacts anywhere in the UK who you would want contacted in an emergency. This part of the India visa application is essential, and must be completed. For the Indian referee part of the form, if you know the name and address of the Indian hotel(s) you might be staying whilst in India, then you can put this. Friends, family or other links can be put on this part for your Visa to India application. If you have no contacts for this part of the India visa form, then you can also put the British high commission in Delhi, India, or simply leave it blank.
