Recommended Vaccinations For Entering China

There are different types of vaccinations recommended by China government as well as Chinese visas consultants for entering China. These vaccinations will depend on the duration of your stay as mentioned in your China visa.

If you have Chinese visas permitting you stay for less than 1 month then the following vaccinations are mandatory:

  • Diptheria: 1 Day prior to journey
  • Hepatitis A: 1 week prior to journey
  • Tetanus: 1 Day prior to journey / after receiving China visa
  • Yellow Fever – Transit: 10 days prior to journey

If you have Chinese visas permitting your stay for periods of 1 to 5 months then the following vaccinations are mandatory:

  • Diptheria: 1 Day prior to journey
  • Hepatitis A: 1 week prior to journey
  • Hepatitis B: 3-4 weeks prior to journey
  • Tetanus: 1 Day prior to journey / after receiving China visa

If you have Chinese visas permitting your stay for 6 months or more then the following vaccinations are mandatory:

  • Diptheria: 1 Day prior to journey / after receiving China visa
  • Hepatitis A: 1 week prior to journey
  • Hepatitis B: 3-4 weeks prior to journey
  • Tetanus: 1 Day prior to journey
  • Japanese encephalitis: 3 weeks prior to journey
  • Yellow Fever – Transit: 10 days prior to journey
  • Tuberculosis: 6 weeks prior to journey
  • Rabies: 4 weeks prior to journey
  • Typhoid: 1 week prior to journey

If you have 6-month Chinese visas then you need to start your vaccinations at least 3 weeks prior to departure. Apart from the mandatory vaccinations, there are specific health requirement that you will need to take care of prior to visiting Chinese visa consultants or while applying for a China visa.

Health Requirements
