The Best Time to Visit China

As China is just a large country, it naturally spreads across many geographical climate zones. Hence depending on the part of China that you wish to visit, you will need to visit it at that particular time. As the country is so diverse, you may need several China visas, as well as journeys to this great country to really experience it.

Most of the financial centre of the country is based on the east coastline, and thus most tourists will visit these areas once they have obtained their Chinese visa. Note that the China visa will allow you to visit all parts of China besides Tibet where a special permit is required.

Given the size of the country, you can use your China visa to visit all year round, although some seasons might be more preferable. The best times to usually visit the country are in the spring season which ranges from March through to May, and also in the autumn season which lasts from September to early November; as it is generally not to hot and not to cold. It avoids the extreme temperatures that this landscape will face including the intense summer heat from June through to August, and the bitter winters from November to March. Note that the China visa offices in London are open throughout the year, allowing visits to China whenever is convenient for you.

If you are intending to use your Chinese visa to visit the Northern part of the country, then please note that this area is generally hot and usually dry in the summer, although Beijing is the exception which can prove to be very humid and somewhat uncomfortable. If you are visiting the Yangtze river, or possibly planning a cruise along this river, then the region can be extremely humid and very hot.

Note that if you are entering the eastern coastline, then because of the large belt which  sits along side the coastline, occasionally typhoons and swelters do hit this area; and when rain arrives, it does so in large quantity. Therefore plan ahead as it is known that such torrential rainfall can cause havoc travel arrangements, and ensure that your China visa has enough validity on it also.

The winter time in China can be a great time to visit, if you are planning on visiting some areas that sit at higher altitudes in the south, although in the northern region, especially those areas bordering Mongolia, the weather does get very cold. Note that rapid visas will start issuing Mongolian travel documents along with the Chinese visas that we obtain for travellers.
